- Why are free podcasts missing?
- The cost of housing a large number of large audio files is high so we had to reduce the number of free podcasts that can be downloaded.
- How do your games help me learn Spanish?
- It is well known that "repetition is the mother of all learning." You can practice your Spanish vocabulary while waiting in line, etc. Your entire family can learn from our programs:
- Elementary and Middle School ESL/Spanish students can practice with their caregiver's cell phones.
- High School students can practice their vocabulary while riding the bus or waiting for a ride.
- Parents can practice either ESL or Spanish vocabulary while waiting for their children or while waiting in line at stores, the Post Office, etc. Our programs supplement classroom learning or self-study.
MiniMentorTM turns your wasted minutes into learning minutes.
- What's the difference between a midp1.0 and a midp2.0 device?
- Midp2.0 devices have more features. For example, MiniMentorTM's midp 2.0 version of Hangman includes a drawn hangman. A MIDP 1.0 version will run on both MIDP 1.0 and MIDP 2.0 phones. However, a MIDP 2.0 version, only works on phones that support MIDP 2.0.
For more information, see the MIDP 1.0 specification or MIDP 2.0 specification.
- Is there a way that I can learn without typing in the answers?
- Yes! Just think of the answer, then press the OK button. Since MiniMentorTM can’t read your mind, it won’t be able to tell you correct if you guessed the right answer, but you’ll know that you did!
- When I press the OK button when playing Hangman, Translation, or Jumble, nothing happens.
- Press the OK button again. Most mobile devices open a data input window into which you enter your answer. After pressing the OK button to signal that you’ve finished entering text, you may have to press the OK button in MiniMentorTM to tell MiniMentorTM that you’re finished entering your answer.
- What happened to the application that I downloaded?
- Depending on your phone, it's either stored in your phones applications or games folder.
- Why doesn't my phone display the Memory/Concentration Game?
- Your phone's screen height is not big enough to display the words in the 12 boxes.
- Does the application incur airtime charges as it runs?
- No! Once the application is downloaded, it doesn't use web access anymore so there are no additional charges for airtime.
- What if my phone doesn’t support Unicode characters such as ñ?
- You do not need to type characters with accents in order to get the right answer. You may just type in an ‘n’ without the tilde instead of ñ or a vowel without the accent. However, if you want to practice spelling the words correctly with accents, then feel free to input them.
- Do I have to type in all of the punctuation such as the periods at the end of the sentences?
- No, MiniMentorTM will compare the string that you typed in without the punctuation with the correct answer.
- Why are the words in Spanish prefixed with "el" or "la" but the words in English aren't prefixed with "the"?
- In Spanish, nouns are either masculine or feminine; thus, it's important to learn the gender of the noun. However, in English nouns don't have a gender; thus all of the nouncs would be prefaced with "the". Adding "the" in front of each noun takes up more memory and requires users to type in more letters when playing the games.
- What is the difference between the free and purchased versions of the software?
- The free version allows you to play all of the games. However, it only displays the words and phrases in 2 categories.
- What is your refund policy?

- What is your cancellation policy?
- Since fulfillment is immediate (you download the software as soon as you pay), there are no cancellations.
- How do I run the demo with other words or phrases?
- First select the word or phrase you want to display in the demo.
- Choose an activity that you want to demo with that vocabulary.
- Press the back button until you are at the main screen.
- Select Demo->then select that same activity such as hangman. Now that activity will start in demo mode with the vocabulary that you selected.
- MiniMentorTM displays "Application Error" and stops abruptly
- Something unanticipated happened and MiniMentorTM didn't know how to handle that event. If this happens again when you are pressing the same keys and working with the same vocabulary and activity, please submit a bug report so we can fix the problem. In your email bug report, please include the following so we can recreate the problem:
